"The Journey"
About Me
I earned my degree in Pharmacy from the University of Granada (2000), and since then
I have worked as a pharmacist in Ireland, England, and Spain. In parallel, since 2017 I have been developing my professional practice as a phytotherapist. Alongside my university studies in Pharmacy, I began my training in Spagyric Medicine with Master Abu Omar Yabir, later completing this training in 2024 with Master Eloy Sanz Cerezuela at the Escuela de Estudios Espagíricos Abu Omar Yabir.
During my time in Dublin, I studied Iridology at The Irish School of Herbal Medicine and
obtained a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Phytotherapy from the University of Barcelona (2009).
Inspired by the rich herbal traditions of various Hispanic-American cultures, in 2014 I undertook a journey to the Amazon that, along with my studies in Iridology, marked a turning point in my professional career and in my perception of medicine. I studied medicinal plants in Peru with the Amazonian shaman Isabel Pinedo and with Felipa Pauccar from the Andean Q’ero nation.
Between 2017 and 2018, I continued my theoretical and practical training in Medical
Herbalism with the renowned herbalist Daisy Mae BSc (Hons),
M.NIMH
and completed clinical training in Canada with Katolen Yardley MNIMH, RH (AHG), and one of the world’s leading experts in the field, Chanchal Cabrera MSc, FNIMH, AHG.
These studies and clinical experiences enabled me to dedicate myself fully to clinical practice,
allowing me to work directly with patients, integrating a holistic perspective both of the individual and of the medicinal plants that assist them through synergistic, personalized formulas tailored to each case.
In this way, I coined the concept of Holistic Clinical Phytotherapy (HCP), which
merges Clinical Herbalism (with its holistic approach) and modern Phytotherapy (strictly scientific).
Both my experience in Peru and my studies and practical training in Herbalism have profoundly enriched my approach, allowing me to view plants as living beings rather than mere collections of active compounds. This promotes a respectful and loving relationship with them, fostering a deep bond between Nature and us as living beings.
As the work of a herbalist suggests, our activity is not only to make recommendations, but also to become familiar with the plants in their natural environment,
to harvest them, and to learn how to use them safely and effectively.
Spagyric Medicine has been the perfect complement to Holistic Clinical Phytotherapy.
Coined by Paracelsus, Spagyric Medicine involves the preparation of plant-based remedies using alchemical methods. These include fermentation, distillation, and the extraction of mineral components from the plant’s ashes, which are then purified and recombined to produce a more complete herbal remedy with enhanced therapeutic power.
Thanks to my background, part of my role in consultation also includes identifying so-called
“red flags” — indicators that a patient should be referred to a medical specialist when
necessary.
In my consultations, I broaden the patient’s case history by reviewing their blood, urine, digestive, and genomic test results — an interpretation for which I am certified by the Escuela de Salud Integral (ESI). This training equips me with tools for prevention, confirmation of medical diagnosis through analysis review, and selection of the most appropriate intervention for each individual case.
